Briar turned 4 months on the 3rd!
At her checkup today she weighed in at 16 lbs 10 oz 92nd percentile for weight and was 24.5 in long 49 percentile for height.
She’s such a big girl! Love that her little personality is developing more and more! She’s ALWAYS Happy! ALWAYS. The best is first thing in the morning when I look at her sweet face. Also when someone else is holding her or when she’s on her playmat or swing and then I show up to pick her up or come play with her, the smile she gives me is the size of the sun. Literally lights up my entire day. She’s rolling more and more now, she loves tummy time. It’s so great to see that becasue Arleigh never liked tummy time and I always felt guilty for letting her cry the few minutes she was having tummy time. Briar loves it and for the past month or two she flips over on her tummy as soon as we lay her down most of the time, so she can crawl around and grab toys. Yesterday outside on her blanket she got on all 4 as if she was about to crawl. She also loves to sit up! Please slow down with the growing child. Her laugh is the most precious sound, it’s so hoarse and raspy when she laughs but I love it. This week we decided we are going to introduce some solids to Briar with her pediatricians blessing. Baby girl has always been interested in table food, and I’m talking basically since she was newborn. Lately if she’s in reach she will grab food off our plates if we’re not careful. so we are excited to let her have some solids finally. She’s still nursing like a champ, so proud of my body for producing enough milk. Every ounce she has gained has came from breast milk, every drop! She’s sleeping through the night most nights. There are the occasional 3 or 5 am wake ups here and there but she’s a great sleeper! She loves her little ball shaped rattle. She’s definitely teething, so we hope some teeth come through soon.
I love this little baby so so much. So thankful to be her mama.
Arleighs half birthday was on the 11th ( 3.5 yr) . Her heart is the size of Texas. These past couple months have been so great with daddy home. She’s becoming even more independent than she was previously. I am always so impressed with her, she’s already starting to read. LOVES books, counting, letters, numbers, shapes, colors, she likes tracing letters. She’s very smart and asks so many questions. She’s super caring and compassionate. Whenever her little sister cries she says ”I know, I know baby, I know, Mamas here” “don’t be scared Briar, I love you” it melts my heart instantly. She is so sweet. Best sister ever. She loves making friends and will always run up to other kids and ask their names and try to play with them. She LOVES being outside, playing in the sunshine, water, enjoying fresh air. She’s interested in weather. Every morning she checks the weather app and tells me the forecast. She also asks me what day it is first thing in the morning. She still loves to cuddle and she’s very tentative and just so loving to everyone. So proud of my baby girl!
So proud of both my girls. I fall more in love with each of them and their personalities each day. I’m so blessed to be their mama!
